Snow vendors will do their best to keep your property open, but please be realistic about what to expect and be patient. The following considerations are important:

  • First, the roadways will be plowed so that emergency vehicles can gain access. Parking spaces and driveways will be completed next, followed by walkways.
  • Throughout the night, the equipment will operate, resulting in unavoidable noise. When backing up, a beeping noise is a mandatory requirement that cannot be turned off.
  • It is important that all personal items are cleared out of the way of snow removal vehicles.
  • We ask that you do not park on the roadways for any length of time during the storm so as not to interfere with the snowplows. There will be a towing and/or a fine imposed on violators.
  • Do not approach a snowplow vehicle as it is very dangerous.  As a result of the snow, winds, and noise of the machines, the driver cannot see or hear you.
  • During this storm, please stay indoors and keep your children and pets (if allowed) out of the way of snow removal equipment. When walking your pet during a storm, be sure to carry a flashlight and exercise extreme caution.
  • Once the snowplows are working on opening parking spaces in an open parking lot, you should move your vehicle. It is critical that you take part in this process to achieve the best possible clean up results and safety conditions on your property.

DIAL 911 IF THERE IS A LIFE / SAFETY EMERGENCY. You should contact 911 in the event of a medical emergency, fire alarm, or fallen tree on a building. Police and fire departments are considered First Responders. It is they who will determine the immediate action to be taken.
